Rania Al Abdullah (Arabic: ? Ranya al-‘abdu l-Lah) (born Rania al Yassin on 31 August 1970) is the current Queen consort of Jordan as the wife of King Abdullah II of Jordan. In a 2009 list of the 100 most powerfully influential women in the world, Queen Rania ranked 76th. As a Queen consort, Queen Rania of Jordan is the wife of a reigning king. A queen consort usually shares her husband's rank and holds the feminine equivalent of the king's monarchical titles. Historically, queen consorts do not share the king regent's political and military powers.
