Private (band)

Private is a pop music trio that weaves classic pop melody with modern dance beats. Private was formed in 2006 by Danish producer/singer Thomas Troelsen, along with guitarist Asger Tarpgaard and vocalist Tanja Simonsen. Sonically, PRIVATE's music is filled with infectious pop hooks and rhythms. Their debut album “My Secret Lover” was produced and recorded by Troelsen in Copenhagen and New York, and mixed in London by Jason Boshoff (Basement Jaxx, David Gray). The first single, of the same title, has gone Gold in Denmark and reached #1 on the Danish singles, radio and download charts. In 2008 the band was signed to Relentless Records in the UK. Their debut single "My Secret Lover" will be released commercially in the UK on 17 January 2010 with remixes by Diplo, Egyptian Lover, Spencer & Hill, Rune RK, Lifelike, and Starsmith. The UK version of the music video for "My Secret Lover" was released on 7 December 2009. The album was released in the UK in early 2010.
