Patty Jenkins is an American film director and writer born in 1971 who grew-up in Lawrence, Kansas. She attended the AFI Conservatory and is widely respected for her ability to convey emotional content in her films. Her most famous movie to date is Monster, a docudrama about Aileen Wuornos. She graduated from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 1993.
