Met when John was in his third year at Acton County Grammar when he was sixteen and she was two years younger. Was with John when Roger Daltrey asked him to audition for his band. The couple were on their way from a rehearsal of John`s band The Scorpions to his home on Southfield Road and she was carrying his amplifier for him. Attended most of the Detours` shows but John wouldn`t allow her to attend when they played the rougher gigs such as the ones at St Mary`s Ballroom Putney. Secretary at the CAV engineering plant in London. Married 23rd June 1967 at Acton Congregational Church where John and Pete had first performed a gig together eight years earlier, and honeymooned on the Queen Elizabeth heading for the USA. Attended the Christmas Charity Bazaar of Acton County Grammar on 23 November 1968 which John opened, plugging the Who`s new single in his speech with the wrods "I hope you manage to raise the monty for your Magic Mini-bus."
