Adventure is a 1945 film, based on the novel The Anointed by Clyde Brion Davis. Clark Gable and Greer Garson star as a sailor and a librarian. It was Gable's first postwar film and the tagline repeated in the movie's famous trailer was "Gable's back and Garson's got him!" It was directed by Victor Fleming, one of Gable's favorite directors.
